Des tas d'ordures ménagères occupent les abords des rues, avenues et devantures des marchés publics à Brazzaville depuis plusieurs semaines. Conséquence directe de la grève des éboueurs et plus concrètement des difficultés de la société en charge de la collecte des détritus dans la capitale congolaise. On la prédisait en faillite mais sans doute que Averda, c'est bien d'elle qu'il s'agit, est arrivée au bout de son expertise.
A quelques endroits, en désespoir de cause, le feu mis aux décharges consume parfois les bacs disponibles livrant un scénario qui interpelle sur la nécessité de tenter une autre expérience dans ce domaine. À moins que les responsables de l’entreprise, soumise au service minimum à la suite de la grève déclenchée les jours derniers par ses agents, assurent la reprise effective et sans délai de ses activités.
Au nombre des solutions palliatives, mais là aussi, sans doute la crise financière que connaît le pays actuellement ne l’autorise pas, songer à doter les mairies des villes les plus affectées, Brazzaville et Pointe-Noire, d’engins de voirie pourrait, comme par le passé, aider à surmonter les défaillances de l’opérateur privé.
Hier PoBrazza, aujourd’hui Averda, les deux expériences semblent toutes tourner court, en même temps, elles révèlent combien le secteur de l’assainissement de nos agglomérations est en quête d’investisseurs capables de relever le défi. A Brazzaville, plus les jours passent, plus les détritus s'amoncellent encombrant parfois fortement le périmètre des chaussées asphaltées. La pollution qui s'en suit devient, de toute évidence, un problème de santé publique aux effets multiples.
